Strong Winds Cause Tree Damage in Los Angeles County

Powerful winds have caused several trees topples in Los Angeles County, damaging cars and houses in neighborhoods such as Pasadena, Lake Balboa, Altadena, and La Crescenta. As what's in the news, the LA Fire Department firefighters responded to a scene in Lake Balboa, where they found cars blocking driveways and a tree on top of one. The video footage showed the tree falling onto one Victory lane and downed power lines hovering over and covering some vehicles. Officials from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power were notified. A high wind warning was in effect until 4 p.m. in many areas of the Southland due to a strong to moderate Santa Ana wind event. The National Weather Service called for 25 to 40 mph winds in those areas, gusting up to 60 mph, with the strongest winds in the hills and mountains. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
